Hello, Region 3 friends.
The Region 3 show is quickly approaching. Here is the information that you will need for entering the shows. Please read all points below and also see the many attachments as they will assist in preparing your work and guiding your students/families.
Please pass this information to the art teachers in your district or area. We would love for them to join our amazing group of art teachers and for them to display student work at the regional and state level.
*The Region 3 show will be held at Adrian College in the Vallade Gallery, within the Shipman Library.
****Vallade Gallery Schedule:
MONDAY 10 AM – 5PM
TUESDAY 10 AM – 7 PM
WED - SAT 10 AM – 5 PM
GALLERY IS CLOSED ON FEBRUARY 24th, due to Spring Break for AC

Members fill out Inventory Sheet on Google Docs (or email the attached sheet) to Annie Howard afhoward@adrian.k12.mi.us By Feb 6th @midnight.
Set up/drop off: Thursday, February 8th, 3:00-5:00 )No late work)
Adjudication:
Show opens: February 10th
Reception: Sunday, February 25th, 1:00-3:00
Take-down: Sunday, February 25th, 3:00 (teachers can take the remaining pieces at this time that are not going to the state level)
State show adjudication/ council meeting: March, Lansing
*You must be a current MAEA/NAEA member to participate in this show. You can renew here:https://www.arteducators.org/promo/join
*Winning pieces will be collected during "take down" to take to for State judging in March. You will receive notification of the State results pieces shortly after the 11th of March.
*Make sure the entry form has the year and Region # 3 filled in at the top. THE WHOLE FORM MUST BE TYPED to be accepted for the show.
*Please make sure that your forms can be easily pulled out for one of the liaisons to sign upon arrival at set up/drop off. One needs to be affixed to the back of the work and the other needs to be in a clear plastic sleeve.
*You may submit 5 pieces total.
*All High School work must have the student information section completed.
*All work must have a name tag (which is the bottom section of the entry form mounted to a 4" x 8" piece of BLACK mat board.)
*Elementary and Middle School work can be no larger than 24" in any direction and .5" thick. No frames
*HS can be no larger than 30" X 30" and no more than 20#.
*HS Stretched canvases must be ready to hang and have finished edges or a frame.
*HS Framed work must be in good condition with Plexiglas instead of glass and ready to hang.
*We will have the plastic zig-zag hangers only at the set up.
*We will have printed postcards at the drop off to hand out to you students/families/school staff.
*Certificates for each student will be completed for the teachers to take from the reception.
*If you are having trouble opening any of the attachments, they were downloaded from the miarted.org website, and you may have to try to do it directly from there.
